Whether you’re aiming to improve your position for seamless transitions during your dressage test, or just trying to feel more stable in the saddle out on the trail, this workshop is for you. Through expert-led demonstrations, you’ll explore the biomechanics of balanced riding and get hands on practice with guided floor-based exercises. You’ll build awareness, and learn how to improve your posture and stability, while strengthening your connection with the horse. No horse? No problem—this is all about you and your body’s relationship to the ride.
Pre-register for the next session of this workshop. No charge! You will be charged once we get at least 10 pre-registrants and you agree to the date of the workshop. You'll be first in line and we'll work with you on the date.
Through engaging demonstrations and clear visuals, you'll identify how posture and alignment can make or break your riding. You'll also discover how small adjustments can make big improvements in your communication with your horse.
Using guided, floor-based exercises, you'll strengthen riding-specific muscle groups, practice new movement patterns, and leave with exercises you can integrate into your daily routine — all designed to support your riding goals. This workshop is open to all riding disciplines.
Nothing says community like a potluck. Breaking bread while building bridges, so to speak. This workshop will include a potluck, a chance to talk about what you are learning and share experiences. We'll supply a main dish. Please bring something to share with your neighbors along with your own plate and silverware!
Megan Rheeder is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Athletic Trainer who knows horses from the inside out — both human and equine. Through her business, Cascade Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, she helps riders prevent injuries and boost effectiveness with personalized, horse-centered guidance. Bonus fun fact? She's currently training a mustang for the 2025 Oregon Mustang Challenge!
