Join us on the farm for a wooly good time! Lambing Basics is a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the essentials of caring for newborn lambs—tail docking, bottle feeding, health checks, and more. Whether you’re thinking of raising sheep or just want to cuddle a baby lamb, this is your chance to get into the barn and get your hands dirty (and possibly snuggled). With 95 ewes on site, lamb cuddles and photo ops are basically guaranteed.
When: We'll schedule when 15 people pre-register!
Where: 65500 Gerking Market Road, Tumalo
Pre-Reg Price: $60
Full Price: $75

Pre-registration is free; we only charge your credit card when we're ready to schedule (and you say ok). When 15 people pre-register, we'll set up the next workshop with your input on dates!

We’ll cover the basics every new shepherd needs to know—feeding, warmth, and keeping those wobbly-legged cuties healthy. You’ll leave feeling confident in your ability to support lambs through their first few critical days.

This isn’t a sit-and-listen kind of day. You’ll be practicing real-deal farm skills like tail docking, castration, vaccinations, and record keeping. Plus, plenty of time to bottle feed lambs and build your barnyard confidence.

Not sure what gear you actually need for a successful lambing season? We’ll walk through must-have supplies and show you how to prep your space so you’re not scrambling when the lambs start arriving.
